Effective 2026-10-04. How the Sombrero Eventos app and this website handle the event plans you make, in 18 chapters.
Who we are

In this notice, "we" and "the team" mean the company and its restaurant. "The app" means the Android app Sombrero Eventos.
What this notice covers
It explains what the app does with the information you type into it, and what happens when you choose to email or call.
The event planner on the website follows the same notice; there, plans are kept in your browser.
Information you enter
An event plan can contain a title, the type of event, the date and start time, the hours of service, whether it is at the restaurant or catering at your place, the catering address, the number of adults and children, menus and services, needs such as vegetarian guests or an allergy note, a budget, notes and your reply details (name, phone, email).
Write only what the team needs. A short note such as "one guest allergic to nuts" is enough; do not write medical details.
The catering address
If you choose catering, you can type the address of your event so the team can estimate transport and setup. It stays in the plan on your phone until you send it.
Where your plans are stored
Plans are stored in a private database inside the app on your phone, together with one working draft so that unsaved changes survive closing the app. Other apps cannot read this database.
No account, no cloud copy
There is no sign-in and no account. The app does not upload plans to the team or to any server.
Android backup and device-to-device transfer are turned off for the app’s data.
What the app does not collect
The app does not collect location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone data, advertising identifiers or usage analytics, and it shows no ads.
Network access
The app has no internet permission. The catalog, prices, images and this notice are bundled inside the app.
Sending a plan by email
When you tap "Open email app", the app first shows you the recipient, subject and text. Your email app then opens with that message, and nothing is sent until you press send there.
Your email provider handles the message under its own terms.
Calling the team
"Call" opens your phone app with the restaurant’s number. The app does not place the call, record it or read your call history.
Copying a plan
If you copy a plan, its text goes to your phone’s clipboard, marked as sensitive where Android supports it. Apps you paste into can read what you paste.
How the team uses plans you send
If you send a plan, the team uses it to answer you, check the date, prepare a quote and organise your event. It does not use it for advertising.
Messages are kept only as long as needed to attend you and to meet legal duties.
Bar service and minors
If you add bar service, the plan says that it is for adults aged 18 or over. The app does not ask for anyone’s age and collects no information about minors.
Your choices
You can edit, duplicate or delete any plan at any time. Deleting removes it from the app on this phone. Uninstalling the app removes all plans and the working draft.
How long information is kept
Plans stay on your phone until you delete them or uninstall the app. Messages you sent stay in your email app and with the team until deleted there.
Security
Plans are protected by Android’s app sandbox and your phone’s screen lock. Keep your phone locked if others use it.
Your rights
Under Colombian data protection law (Ley 1581 de 2012) you can ask the company to know, update, correct or delete personal information it holds about you, and to revoke your authorisation. Write to debajodelsombrero7@gmail.com.
Information stored only on your phone is under your control in the app.
Changes and contact
If the app changes how it handles information, this notice will be updated with a new effective date in a new app version and on the website.
